The Greatest Story Ever Told…..(The Birth of Jesus Christ)

  • Posted on December 24, 2011 at 12:00 am

….Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a Son, and shall call His name Immanuel (Isaiah 7:14).

Mary visits Elizabeth, her cousin, to tell her the blessed news of the coming Savior. Now Mary arose in those days and went into the hill country with haste, to a city of Judah, and entered the house of Zacharias and greeted Elizabeth and it happened, when Elizabeth heard the greeting of Mary, that the babe leaped in her womb; and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit (Luke 1:39-41).

After Jesus’ birth, an angel told the Shepherds in the field of the Savior’s birth. And she brought forth her first born Son, wrapped Him in swaddlings cloths, and laid Him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn. Now there were in the same country shepherds living out in the fields, keeping watch over their flock by night…..Then the angel said to them, Do not be afraid for behold , I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people. For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. And, this will be the sign to you..You will finf a Babe wrapped in swaddling cloths, lying in a manger (Luke 2:7-12).

Three wise men came from afar to bring honor to the Savior, Jesus Christ. When they saw the star, they rejoiced with exceedingly great joy. And when they had come into the house, they saw the young Child with Mary His mother, and fell down and worshipped Him. And when they had opened their treasure, they presented gifts to Him, gold, frankincense and myrrh (Matthew 2:10-11).

Merry Christmas and we hope you enjoy your gift. We will love to hear from you. Please leave a comment, facebook it, twitter it or just pass it along to your friends and family.

Andre Bocelli and Mary J. Blige singing together? Well, their uniqueness of their voices reminds me of the unique and precious gift we received many many years ago. I present to you something amazing, The Nativity Story…………………………

As Christmas approaches, remember the most important gift is not wrapped in pretty paper under the tree. It was wrapped up in swaddling clothes in a manger. Merry Christmas and enjoy the love of giving.

Are You Focused On The Real Meaning of Christmas?

  • Posted on December 13, 2010 at 1:29 am

It’s that time of the year again….Christmas time!

In the midst of our shopping for gifts and running to holiday parties, sometimes, we get caught up in our agenda and lose focus on the real meaning of Christmas.

That’s why, our Christian book club is reading, Christmas at Harrington’s, to fill our hearts with unconditional joy.

Get your copy here.

It’s a story about a woman who spent 8 years in prison because she was falsely accused of embezzlement. With God’s grace and mercy, she was released from prison around Christmas time and received the gift of a second chance, redemption and forgiveness.

Read Christmas at Harrington’s here.

It reminds all of us the very reason why Jesus Christ was born…to take on our sins, redeem us, forgive us and give us a second chance.

So, this Christmas season, join us as we read Christmas at Harringtons and leave your thoughts and comments on our Facebook fan page (I will put a link for facebook page)

And by the way, take a look at the Tree Lighting ceremony at Rockefeller Center in NYC. Have fun and Enjoy Christmas. It’s a special time of the year. Make sure you leave a comment below because we will love to hear from you.
