Sticking To Your New Year Resolutions?

  • Posted on January 2, 2012 at 9:15 pm

Keeping those New Year Resolution can be a pip. Believe me, I know It’s not easy. We all have good intentions. Somehow, somewhere down the line we lose focus and goals go to the waste side. Why? Mainly because we don’t have an action plan. But, it doesn’t have to be that way for 2012. Creating an action plan is easy if we have the priorities lined up correctly……….

First, devotionals will help you read God’s Word everyday and show how you can use implement His word in all life situations.

Happy New Year…….Here Comes 2012

  • Posted on December 31, 2011 at 4:15 pm

I really hope you enjoyed your Christmas because it’s such a special time to celebrate our Savior’s birth and remind us what Jesus has done for us. And, now we are getting ready to enter into the New Year……2012! New Years is an exciting time because we can turn over a new leaf, set up a clean slate and start over. It gives hope for something better.

Think about it, how many times you have heard New Year, New Me. You probably heard people say (or maybe you said it yourself)…this year, I’m going to save more money, pay more attention to my health, lose those extra pounds, write that book, exercise more, start a new career, buy a house and the list goes on…………………

But before you can accomplish your big goals for 2012, I want you to stop and focus on Matthew 6:33…but seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
So prior to running out to conquer your aspirations for 2012, make these your primary goal….study and get to know God’s word everyday because when you understand His word you’ll know how to pray and discover major breakthrough in your life.

I know, in the midst of your busy schedule, it can be challenging to study scriptures and read the bible everyday on a consistent basis, which is why I’m going recommend some New Years Resources……………………

First, devotionals will help you read God’s Word everyday and show how you can use implement His word in all life situations.

The Greatest Story Ever Told…..(The Birth of Jesus Christ)

  • Posted on December 24, 2011 at 12:00 am

….Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a Son, and shall call His name Immanuel (Isaiah 7:14).

Mary visits Elizabeth, her cousin, to tell her the blessed news of the coming Savior. Now Mary arose in those days and went into the hill country with haste, to a city of Judah, and entered the house of Zacharias and greeted Elizabeth and it happened, when Elizabeth heard the greeting of Mary, that the babe leaped in her womb; and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit (Luke 1:39-41).

After Jesus’ birth, an angel told the Shepherds in the field of the Savior’s birth. And she brought forth her first born Son, wrapped Him in swaddlings cloths, and laid Him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn. Now there were in the same country shepherds living out in the fields, keeping watch over their flock by night…..Then the angel said to them, Do not be afraid for behold , I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people. For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. And, this will be the sign to you..You will finf a Babe wrapped in swaddling cloths, lying in a manger (Luke 2:7-12).

Three wise men came from afar to bring honor to the Savior, Jesus Christ. When they saw the star, they rejoiced with exceedingly great joy. And when they had come into the house, they saw the young Child with Mary His mother, and fell down and worshipped Him. And when they had opened their treasure, they presented gifts to Him, gold, frankincense and myrrh (Matthew 2:10-11).

Merry Christmas and we hope you enjoy your gift. We will love to hear from you. Please leave a comment, facebook it, twitter it or just pass it along to your friends and family.
