Sticking To Your New Year Resolutions?

  • Posted on January 2, 2012 at 9:15 pm

Keeping those New Year Resolution can be a pip. Believe me, I know It’s not easy. We all have good intentions. Somehow, somewhere down the line we lose focus and goals go to the waste side. Why? Mainly because we don’t have an action plan. But, it doesn’t have to be that way for 2012. Creating an action plan is easy if we have the priorities lined up correctly……….

First, devotionals will help you read God’s Word everyday and show how you can use implement His word in all life situations.

Happy New Year…….Here Comes 2012

  • Posted on December 31, 2011 at 4:15 pm

I really hope you enjoyed your Christmas because it’s such a special time to celebrate our Savior’s birth and remind us what Jesus has done for us. And, now we are getting ready to enter into the New Year……2012! New Years is an exciting time because we can turn over a new leaf, set up a clean slate and start over. It gives hope for something better.

Think about it, how many times you have heard New Year, New Me. You probably heard people say (or maybe you said it yourself)…this year, I’m going to save more money, pay more attention to my health, lose those extra pounds, write that book, exercise more, start a new career, buy a house and the list goes on…………………

But before you can accomplish your big goals for 2012, I want you to stop and focus on Matthew 6:33…but seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
So prior to running out to conquer your aspirations for 2012, make these your primary goal….study and get to know God’s word everyday because when you understand His word you’ll know how to pray and discover major breakthrough in your life.

I know, in the midst of your busy schedule, it can be challenging to study scriptures and read the bible everyday on a consistent basis, which is why I’m going recommend some New Years Resources……………………

First, devotionals will help you read God’s Word everyday and show how you can use implement His word in all life situations.

Are you prepared……………….Are you ready?

  • Posted on August 28, 2011 at 12:23 am

I don’t know about you but everywhere I turned around (Internet, radio, tv, etc.), I saw the words, “Are you prepared?” and “Are you ready?” because Hurricane Irene was the center of conversation. Most of us went to the store to buy water, food, batteries, generators and many other things. But, let me ask you……….

Are you prepared? Are you truly ready? Not for Hurricane Irene but for the coming of Jesus. One thing for sure is that Jesus is coming back. If Jesus would come back today, would you be ready?

Before you give a “yes” or “no” answer, you want to focus on yourself. As it says in 2 Corinthians 13:5, examine yourselves as to whether you are in the faith. Test yourselves. And, you don’t want to make excuses by comparing yourself to other people by looking at the speck in your brother’s eye, but will not consider the plank in own eye (Matthew 7:3).

Take the time to honestly ask yourself, Am I free of unforgiveness, pride, resentment, envy, selfishness, lying, stealing…..? The list can go on and on…………………

Back to the original question…….Are you prepared? Are you ready? If your answer is “yes”, then continue to develop a deeper relationship with God and help others do the same along the way. However, if your answer is “no”, then start reading, studying, and living according to His word.

And, hopefully, you will talk about the goodness of God just as much if not more than Hurricane Irene………Do me a favor and leave a comment below and share your thoughts.

The Incomparable Christ

  • Posted on July 4, 2011 at 4:17 pm

I came across an awesome poem. I wanted to share it with you. I know, you will enjoy it:

Almost two thousand years ago there was a Man born contrary to the laws of life. This Man lived in poverty and was reared in obscurity. He did not travel extensively. Only once did He cross the boundary of the country in which He lived; that was during His childhood exile.

He possessed neither wealth nor influence. His relatives were inconspicuous and He had neither training nor formal education. In infancy, He startled a king; in childhood, He puzzled doctors; in manhood, He ruled the course of nature, walked upon the billows as if pavement, and hushed the sea to sleep.

He healed the multitudes without medicine and made no charge for His service.

He never wrote a book, and yet all the libraries of the country could not hold the books that have been written about Him.

He never wrote a song and yet He has furnished the theme for more than all the songwriters combined. He never founded a college, but all the schools put together cannot boast of having as many students. He never practiced medicine, and yet He has healed more broken hearts than all the doctors far and near.

Every seventh day the wheels of commerce cease their turning and multitudes wend their way to worshiping assemblies to pay homage and respect to Him.

The names of the past proud statesman of Greece and Rome have come and gone. The names of past scientists, philosophers, and theologians have come and gone; but the name of this Man abounds more and more. Though time has spread two thousand years between the people of this generation and the scene of His crucifixion, yet He still lives.

Herod could not destroy Him, and the grave could not hold Him.

He stands in Heavenly Glory, proclaimed of God, as the living, personal Christ, our Lord and Saviour.
